A military man In Takoradi has been picked up by the police in the Western Region for allegedly blackmailing female teenager with nude images of her.
The suspect, whose name was given as WOI Asiedu with the Ghana Airfoce Base in Takoradi, is said to have persuaded the 17-year-old girl to send her nude pictures to him after he succeeded at befriending her.
He then threatened the girl using the pictures as bait to avail herself for sexual intercourse or he would leak the photos on social media.
The persistence of this military man wasn’t enough as the girl was reluctant in giving in.
The poor girl who was not prepared for the act was at a point was reported to have been contemplating on committing suicide.
It was the timely intervention of her brother who played confidant and called to inform a local journalist upon hearing about the issue that saved her.
A plan was fashioned out for the suspect to meet his victim at a particular hotel for the sexual demand and in the process was arrested on Saturday morning and handed over to the police who are currently investigating his conduct.
