On Tuesday July 18, President Nana Akufo-Addo decided to welcome some of the country’s seasoned journalists into his space in what was tagged “Six months of results”.

This practice has been the norm for Presidents of the land in previous times however the question as to whether there was enough to be said barely seven months into his administration didn’t escape the lips of people. To the contrary, members of his administration insisted there was more than enough to speak about hence the tagline of the event.

The event which took place at the Banquet Hall of the Flagstaff House saw journalists from various media houses making their way to secure an appropriate spot to elevate their chances of having the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, address their concerns.

The event was opened with introductory remarks and a statement from the Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid, who reemphasized the main objective of the gathering and the rules that were to be adhered to. – Each journalist was to ask one question. Following his remarks was a prayer by Chairman of the Hajj Board, Sheikh I.C. Quaye. The President then began with a brief account of his stewardship in the past seven months. Areas that were highlighted by the President’s speech include security, economy, education, health, agriculture, etc. but failed to highlight anything on sports and on creative arts.
